Carroll Gardens

When you rent in Carroll Gardens, you'll be living near history. The neighborhood itself is named for one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, Charles Carroll, and the area is home to several important historic sites, including St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church, St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Gowanus Canal. Several other streets are named after historical figures. The picturesque Carroll Gardens Historic District features charming brownstones with spacious gardens in front. Carroll Gardens provides convenient access to the rest of the city, with subway trains stopping at Smith-Ninth streets and Carroll Street.
