Astoria

The Astoria neighborhood draws its name from German-American businessman John Jacob Astor, who earned his fortune from ventures including the fur trade and was the wealthiest person in the United States at the time of his death in 1848. Today, Astoria is undergoing significant revitalization that's transforming former industrial sites into beautiful residential towers, bringing thousands of new rental residences along with a variety of parks, shopping and dining to the market. When you rent in Astoria, you'll enjoy convenient subway access and proximity to attractions including Socrates Sculpture Park, Isamu Noguchi Museum, Museum of the Moving Image and others.
